I still kinda feel like it could be Mol’s dream, because if we never saw the “real” world and the whole movie was a dream, then it’s possible that Mol is still alive. Though I might be overthinking the entire thing

Saito can’t be the dreamer. Layer 1′s dreamer was the chemist; remember when they arrived at the first layer, it was raining because the chemist had to pee in the real world and it affected the physics in the first layer.

I’m sort of starting to remember the explanation of limbo when saito first gets shot. The disguise guy walks up saying he’ll put him out of his misery and he’s stopped by cobb because then he’d go into limbo. But there was some discussion of EVERYONE being stuck in limbo if he died too right…cuz saito was teh dreamer for that level? Or am i remembering it wrong? Perhaps that’s also why adriene woke up in the van after falling…not the plane…because they all had to wait for Cobb to get Saito so they could all go back to reality?

i know i’m late and this is prob answered later in teh thread but they did age in limbo. When he’s saying his goodbye and he already lived a full life w/her, they flash back to the 2 of them, old, walking hand in hand in thier limbo. Also, The last scene of them holding hands lying on the train tracks, you see old hands.

Iono if any answered this for you yet Rida, but I think he was supposedly “killed” cuz if you recall, the very first job wasn’t completed. They were trying to extract info from Saito, but remember Leo said they failed cuz Saito knew what they were doing so he purposefully left something out. They were running from their first employers, because their job wasnt completed. Saito said “I wont kill him, but im not so sure bout (not sure what their other employers name was)”.

I don’t think limbo is just one level deeper. Limbo’s where you end up when you die in a dream right? Hmm.. but if that’s the case, how did Mal and Cobb first end up there?

Limbo is shared between the people who are attached to the machine in the real world. They subconscious where watanabe is is his own subconscious because if you die in a dream, you get stuck in “limbo” which is your subconscious. However, someone attached to the dream machine w/ you can come into your subconscious limbo to get you out… it’s just really hard because when he gets there, he’s lost himself too. That’s why leo and ken watanabe were so confused.

Why are you confused on how they got to Leo’s subconscious from Cilian Murphy’s snowy fortress level? they’re all tied to the same machine
